What is your turnaround time?

Turnaround times vary on different packages and rely heavily on preparedness and communication between you, the client, and us here at Lalu.

Branding concepts are turned around to you within 2 weeks, and finalization can take an additional 1-2 weeks.

Basic ProPhoto customization packages can be turned around as fast as 1 week, as long as all of your content, images, and galleries are organized and ready for us. If we need and wait on additional material from you, then the time length may increase as our hands are tied waiting on things that we have no control over.

Custom ProPhoto Design Packages can take around 6 weeks. The first two weeks are dedicated to working on your unique concepts to present to you. Another week is dedicated to creating a final design for you. One more week is dedicated to presenting each additional page layout to you, and the last 2 weeks are dedicated to building out your site and getting ready for launch.

Am I required to purchase ProPhoto?

Our Basic ProPhoto Customization package does not include ProPhoto. That is something you will have to provide on your own. You can purchase a license for it here: http://www.prophoto.com/buy/

Our Custom ProPhoto Design Package includes a ProPhoto license that is included into the price of the package and you are not required to provide this to us.

Do you require a deposit?

For our ProPhoto design packages, we require a $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot in our client que. Branding packages require a $350 non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot. This deposit is applied towards your balance that is due. Before we begin on your project, 50% of the total project amount is due. Before any final files are delivered, or before a site is launched, the remainder of the balance will be due at that time.

Do I own the rights to my designs?

Any design that you choose to be your final, you will own the rights to in full. All other concepts presented to you during the process are still property of Lalu Designs. We guarantee all of our concepts to be unique and original. We ask that you allow us to use your design on our website to showcase our work. Additionally, we ask that you allow us to place a link back to Lalu’s website at the footer of your website.

Will I be able to make edits on my website in the future?

Absolutely! When building our sites, we strive to make as much of the content editable as possible, making it easy for you to later make any edits you would like. We will provide a PDF walk-through of the functions of your site so that you are familiar with how to do this. There may be some cases where some elements require some Photoshop knowledge to change, but we will provide you with any templates you may need to make these edits.

What can you do to improve my site’s SEO?

Lalu Designs does not specialize in SEO. We keep common factors in mind when designing your site, such as organized structure, but to really get picky on your SEO, we suggest you contact somebody that specializes in SEO consultation.

Do you accept any sort of payment plans?

We will work with you as best we can. As long as you can pay the initial security deposit to reserve your space, you are free to make payments as often or as little as you would like. The balance must be paid in full before any final files are delivered or before a site is launched.

How do I deliver files for the website or images for album designs to you?

We could not live without Dropbox (www.dropbox.com). As a photographer, you should probably already be utilizing this resource. For branding and website packages, their 2 free GB is more than enough space than you will need to share any files with us that we will need.

For album design images, you will probably need more than the free 2 GB. Although we prefer you to just share a folder of images with us, using Dropbox you can use any other delivery system that you are comfortable with as long as you are confident all images will arrive to us safely.

How many rounds of revisions do I get?

For our branding and web design packages, we offer as many revisions as you need to make you comfortable and happy.

For album design, we offer 3 complimentary rounds of revisions. If any additional revisions are needed after that, we charge a flat rate of $25 per round.

Do my images need to be named anything specific for Album orders?

No they don’t. As long as the images are in the order that you want them to appear in the album, all is good in the world. On that note, we do require for your images to be ordered correctly. If we have to guess the order and arrange them for you, we charge 50 cents per image. This is not to make more money, but simply to encourage you to have this complete before orders are made. All we can do is guess the order of the images, and we are not always accurate. This only creates a longer turnover for you and your client, and can additionally create some major headaches down the road.
